A private vehicle and guide put the day in your hands. Stay with a sighting for two hours, leave before dawn, take a picnic breakfast in the bush or return early for a nap. Photographers can position for light; families can move at a child's pace.

Many private conservancies also allow walking, night drives and off-road tracking, which can be tailored entirely around you.
